How to find books

 

Books are a good academic source for broad information on topics or areas you are studying. For Creative Writing, books are also a good source to find guides & handbooks for writing, editing and creative practice. 

To find books use the Library Catalogue. The video will show you how to search the Library Catalogue. 

Search Suggestions: 

  • Topics - e.g. genre, editing, writing
  • Specific areas - e.g. screenwriting, fantasy, science-fiction

Dictionaries, encyclopaedias & handbooks

 

The Library has a number of online dictionaries, thesauri & encyclopaedias for you to use. There are also many handbooks and guides for creative writing.
