How to find books
Books are a good academic source for broad information on topics or areas you are studying. For Creative Writing, books are also a good source to find guides & handbooks for writing, editing and creative practice.
To find books use the Library Catalogue. The video will show you how to search the Library Catalogue.

Dictionaries, encyclopaedias & handbooks
The Library has a number of online dictionaries, thesauri & encyclopaedias for you to use. There are also many handbooks and guides for creative writing.
- Macquarie dictionary An online dictionary and thesaurus.
- Oxford English dictionary A dictionary of English language
- Encyclopaedia Britannica An online encyclopaedia with fully searchable and browsable reference entries.
