Journalism: News

This guide will help Journalism students find and evaluate key resources needed to successfully complete their assessments.

How to find news

You can often find freely available news through broadcaster's websites, YouTube and open news stories. In addition to these free services UTS Library also has TV and newspaper databases that you can use to find news from Australia and around the world.

It's really important to evaluate news items to ensure that they don't include misinformation or fake news. Look at the 'Evaluating Media Sources' page in this guide to find out how.
